When Validation No Longer Comes from the Ego

For a long time, I believed that all validation came from the ego.

From that deeply human part of us that doubts, asks questions and constantly looks for reassurance.

The part that wants to hear:

"You're doing great."

"Keep going."

"You're on the right path."

To me, validation meant exactly that.

It meant needing someone, or something outside of myself, to confirm that everything was okay.

But recently, I experienced something completely different.

I realized there is another kind of validation.

One that doesn't come from the outside.

It doesn't even come from the mind.

It comes from the soul.

And it has been one of the most beautiful discoveries I've made.

Life can become chaotic.

There are seasons when everything seems to happen at once.

Change.

Uncertainty.

Challenges.

And naturally, we begin to question ourselves.

Am I really on the right path?

Was this truly the right decision?

Should I be doing something else?

In those moments, it's easy to search for answers outside ourselves.

But this time, something else happened.

It felt as if, for just a moment, my soul whispered:

"This is exactly where you're meant to be."

"Keep going."

"Everything is okay."

"This storm will pass."

Suddenly, all the certainty that had always lived inside me, hidden beneath the noise of life, came back.

Not because someone praised me.

Not because I received external recognition.

Not because I found proof that I was right.

It came back because there is a part of us that simply knows.

A part that doesn't need arguments.

Or approval.

Or external validation.

Realizing this opened an entirely new space within me.

For years, I thought validation belonged only to the ego.

Now I see there is also validation from the soul.

And they are completely different.

The ego seeks certainty.

The soul brings peace.

The ego asks questions.

The soul remembers.

And when that remembrance arrives, something inside us finally relaxes.

As if, for a brief moment, we no longer needed the world to tell us who we are.

Because we remembered it ourselves.
